Riccardi was picked up by the GIANTS from Werribee at the end of 2019 after winning the Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medal as the most promising young player in the VFL. Known for his strong marking, high football IQ, and accurate set shots on goal, Riccardi was selected by the GIANTS with pick 51 in the 2019 AFL Draft. The talented key forward played a total of 14 games across his first two seasons before establishing himself as a key player with 15 and 21 games in the following two years. Under first-year head coach Adam Kingsley in 2023, Riccardi elevated his game, kicking 35 goals to become a central figure in the GIANTS' forward line. While sidelined by a finger injury late in the season which kept him out of finals, Riccardi kicked 26 goals across 19 games in 2024 to be a damaging weapon alongside the likes of other key talls Jesse Hogan and Aaron Cadman. Riccardi extended his contract in 2023, committing to the club until at least the end of the 2026 season.
