Nicola Barr joined the club as the number one pick in the inaugural AFLW Draft in 2016 and has since cemented herself as one of the GIANTS’ most consistent and versatile players. Joining the AFLW after taking out the 2016 Mostyn Medal as the Best and Fairest player in the AFL Sydney competition, Barr has starred across several roles at the GIANTS, establishing herself as a dashing half-back before a promising move to the forward line in 2022. Barr was moved to the midfield in season 2023 where her talents shone through as she put forward one of her best seasons in orange and charcoal to finish fifth in the club champion award. Barr also notched up her 50th AFLW game in 2023.
