The GIANTS’ AFL Women’s squad will take on last season’s runners up, the Brisbane Lions, in a practice match at the WestConnex Centre next weekend.
It will be the first opportunity for GIANTS members and fans to see the GIANTS’ new faces in action when they take to the field on Saturday, January 20 at 10am.
There will be a host of players likely to make their first appearance in orange and charcoal including star recruit Alicia Eva and Irish import Cora Staunton.
It’ll also be coach Alan McConnell’s first game in charge of the new look squad having taken the reigns over the off-season.
