The GIANTS have suffered a double injury blow with forwards Devon Smith and Will Hoskin-Elliott ruled out of Sunday’s match against Port Adelaide at Manuka Oval.

Smith (knee) and Hoskin-Elliott (quad) both failed to get through enough training this week to prove their fitness for the round four game.

Smith, who’s played all three games this season, had a delayed start to the NAB Challenge due to the same knee complaint.

After taking an early contender for mark of the year in his last visit to Canberra, Hoskin-Elliott trained away from the main group during Thursday’s session due to the quad injury.

At this stage, both players are only expected to miss one week.

The duo join Aidan Corr on the injury list, with the key defender ruled out for 3-4 weeks with an ankle injury earlier in the week.

The GIANTS’ 25-man squad will be announced tonight at 6.25pm. Check back to gwsgiants.com.au then for all the ins and outs.
