Recently retired premiership captain and two-time Brownlow Medalist Chris Judd will headline the 2015 Toyota AFL Grand Final lunch in Canberra, proudly presented by UNSW Canberra.
Hosted by Sky News Sports presenter James Bracey, the GIANTS will host lunches in both Canberra and Sydney in the lead up to the 2015 Toyota AFL Grand Final on October 3.
One of the greatest players of the modern era, Judd’s decorated career was cut short by a serious knee injury earlier this season which forced him into an early and immediate retirement.
Judd’s career began at West Coast with a bang as he won the game’s highest individual honour, the Brownlow Medal, in just his third season in the AFL at just 21-years-old.
He led one of the game’s greatest midfields and captained the Eagles to the 2006 AFL Premiership where he also won two Club Champion Awards.
After moving back to Melbourne to captain Carlton at the beginning of 2008, he won a further three Club Champion accolades and became just the fourth player in AFL history to win a Brownlow Medal at more than one club.
The Canberra lunch will be presented by UNSW Canberra and held on Tuesday September 29 at 12pm at the National Arboretum in Canberra.
Tickets are from $195 per person. For more information, contact Jack Masters at 0418 240 270 or jack.masters@gwsgiants.com.au
