Defender Curtly Hampton will miss the next six weeks after injuring his shoulder against Essendon at Spotless Stadium last Saturday.
Hampton has undergone surgery this afternoon after injuring his AC joint in the third term against Essendon. The 21 year-old has played 10 games this season for a career total of 45.
Experienced defender Stephen Gilham will also be sidelined for the next six weeks after breaking his hand in the UWS GIANTS 104-point victory over the NT Thunder in Saturday’s NEAFL match.
Co-Captain Phil Davis is in contention to return to the senior side after playing for the UWS GIANTS in his first game since injuring his kidney against the Swans in Round 1.
Nick Haynes remains as the GIANTS' only long-term injury following ankle surgery.
