After five months on the sidelines with a knee injury, Greater Western Sydney GIANTS midfielder Dom Tyson is available for selection this week.

The 19-year old underwent surgery on a ruptured posterior cruciate ligament in December and has been given the all clear to resume playing this week.

Tyson is expected to play for the UWS GIANTS in the NEAFL against the Gold Coast Suns at Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday morning.

The midfielder was one of eight GIANTS to receive a NAB Rising Star nomination last season, and has worked hard during his rehabilitation over the past five months.

It’s been a busy week for Tyson, with the number three pick in the 2011 draft also being named as a top 50 finalist in Cleo’s Bachelor of the Year competition.

After missing last weekend’s match against Hawthorn due to injury, Zac Williams (ankle) and Jacob Townsend (calf) are also expected to be available for selection when the GIANTS host West Coast at ŠKODA stadium on Saturday.
